24 Nov Your New Community Manager, Cecilia!
Hey everyone, my name’s Cecilia! Some of you might recognise me from my brief stay here at YBF over the summer of 2014/15, but for those of you who don’t, I’m sure we’ll get to know each other very soon.
After founding Twitter in 2006 at the tender age of 11,* and being one of the first investors in the Internet in 1989,** I thought, where to next? I decided to study Arts at Melbourne Uni, which I wrapped up last Friday.
I like to experiment in cooking, not always successfully but always enthusiastically. As I write this I’ve just convinced Stavros to buy some nice olive oil to keep here because I’m Italian and a life without olive oil isn’t a life worth living. My other lifelong passion is for music, both playing/writing and exploring new genres (thanks to the Holy Trinity of Soundcloud-Youtube-Spotify).
I’ve loved following news in the tech world over the past few years. This has only increased my excitement at returning to the young, vibrant community that is YBF, something which I have really missed since leaving. Now that I’m back, I can’t wait to hear about everyone’s businesses and the individual projects you’re working on.
The other thing I wanted to add is that I love hearing out and workshopping new ideas, so by all means if you think there is something that I can help bring to life as the newest addition to the Community Manager team please let me know!
I’m also chattier than I might come off, so feel free to drop by the front desk if you need a break and feel like hearing stories of recent mishaps in my life.
* For the Maxes of the world, this is absolutely a joke
** So is this. Max, do the math.
